i have movement in my abdomen. i have left it against my hip bone and ultra sound showed nothing. it moves several times a day and against my bladder ?

The only: thing that moves on its own to any degree that you would feel within the abdomen/pelvis is the bowel.  Bowel loops normally contract and relax during digestion, as fluid, solid contents, and gas move along.  Did they check you for a hernia?  Bowel loops withing a hernia sac could cause a sense of movement in the inguinal region.

i've had a slight dull ache on and off for several months near my rib cage on the right side - i've had blood work that shows normal  levels and an ultra sound that indicated a slight fatty liver - i have no pain or feel ill at all  -  what could it be?

On right managment: Your doctor is doing right thing,  in managing your problem . If you are not an alcoholic, substance abuser,  have no hepatitis, and no symptoms,  don't worry too much  but needs follow up  ( let your doctor worry ) , watch your medications have good dietary habits , vitamins, exercise   & your physician fallow up.

Depends: It depends on if you have fibrosis and if you do, how extensive or dense will determine the severity of illness. In any case you will need to modify your diet and lose weight.

11years old constipation with lot of gas. took librax (clinidium and chlordiazepoxide) for 3 months with stelabid. ultra sound show fatty liver. hypatitus b and c are -ve. pencryas ok?

Constipation: If you have chronic constipation, then more fiber likely just makes you bloated and more gassy. This is because you most likely have a combination of evacuation issues along with a colonic motility issue. The best solution at this point would be to see a specialist and get  labs, thyroid studies followed by a physiologic work up of your colon. In the meantime.. Low fiber diet with regular laxative.

ultrasound sound shows increase echogenicity of liver related to steatosis vs hepatocellular disease.  what can do to reverse it. i drink moderately. ?

Dieting: may be of value. You may need to stop or at least decrease the amount of alcohol you ingest. Alcohol can cause cirrhosis of the liver amount other illnesses. Fatty liver will improve with a healthier diet. Hope this helps

See below: It could still the gallbladder next to your liver causing pain.  You may need a hida scan to prove that it is malfunctioning.

but ultra sound has coarse texture?

FATTY LIVER.: Your liver tests look normal.
Coarse liver texture does not necessarily indicate liver disease.
Sometimes it could suggest fatty liver.Check liver function tests in 3 months.Your platelet count is low re-check CBC in 3 mon ths.

alp 463 and alt 106. normal ultra sound and all other liver levels are normal. my son is 2.5 months old! wht could this be?

Liver enzymes on inf: It could be anything from normal to an early sign of hormone problem. You need to see what other symptoms there are or not and what that means to point you on the right direction. If you have no other symptoms the baby is  most likely.

my liver enzymes are elevated. ultra sound was fine. i take omeparzole daily, could that cause liver issues? im healthy 22 year old.

Unlikely: Liver enzymes can go up to a minor degree with many common viruses, some of which would have little if any symptoms. They are also triggered by use of acetaminophen, alcohol &amp; many common OTC meds that are disposed of through the liver.

do you have to fast before liver bio with ultra sound guided?

Accepted Answer

Most likely: Any time there is a procedure, it usually good to have an empty stomach.  If you become "sick", it is best to vomit without food in the stomach to avoid aspiration.  Sometimes the proceduralist will allow a small amount of liquids.  If you were to have a complication, it is best to have an empty stomach to avoid these and many other complications.  If in doubt, call the doctor or place you go.
