These are quite helpful. Some hollywood men have cultivated the scars to play tough-guy roles, but it should be your choice.

Not really: If you have a true "scar" then this needs to be dealt with by filling the depression if you have one and or dealing with a potential color discrepancy. If you have a depressed scar, you can release the adhesions below the scar, use some type of filler to raise the skin and then blend with some type of micro- or fully ablative technology.

Nothing will work: I'm sorry. Acne scars may be treated by a specialist with a laser, or microsurgery or fillers. If your acne is still active, your physician can manage it -- ignore all "pop" wisdom about acne. I understand you also have rosacea and I trust this is being managed as well. Truth be told, a man doesn't need a "perfect face" -- looks are much more about physical fitness and how you interact. Best wishs

Depends : Depends what medication you are using and what type of scars you are talking about.  If they are hyperpigmented scars, treatment options would include hydroquinone fade creams.  If they are red marks, sometimes pulsed dye laser can help.  But, if they are depressed scars or ice pick scars, that might require surgery or laser resurfacing.  Those patients on Accutane or retin a (tretinoin) also should also avoid treatment of scars during their treatment.  I guess you should probably follow up with your dermatologist to discuss. I hope that helps a little.

Serious Rx: I am VERY sorry you've ended up with scarring, and even more sorry that you're not already under the care of a competent physician who should have been managing this all along. A combination of topical benzoyl peroxide plus an antibiotic may be enough, or the oral contraceptive pill, spironolactone, or isotretinoin may clear you. You can't remove the scars but you can stop new ones from forming.

Prevention: The use of sunscreen at this point is huge for scar prevention.  Sun on a fresh scar can cause hyperpigmentation and solar damage.  Any fresh or hypertrophic scars can be treated with Mederma to improve their outcome.

Acne Scarring: Not certain meaning of 'acne facial', but acne scarring is usually best helped with mechanical dermabrasion coupled with surface treatments (chemical or laser) to improve the depth of scarring and even out any discolorations.  Deep ice pick scars are the most difficult to reduce, but each type of treatment (including some fillers on occasion) usually helps improve the appearance.
