Possibly: Bleeding in pregnancy is not "normal" but may not always indicate something is wrong.  You need to see your doctor. This can be a sign of an abnormal pregnancy with impending miscarriage or an ectopic(tubal) pregnancy, which can be very dangerous.  If you are experiencing significant pain you need to go in immediately though mild cramping can be normal.  Hot/cold with out fever can be normal.

Minor bleeding/preg: Minor bleeding can occur at about 7-8 weeks of pregnancy when the ovary does not continue to produce progesterone, and the placenta has not yet made enough to replace what is made by the ovary. This by itself should stop, as the placenta continues to increase its production of progesterone.

Common not normal: Bleeding in pregnancy  is very common but is not normal. It should be promptly evaluated by your doctor. You need to confirm that you have a normal pregnancy located inside the uterus. In most cases things are ok but tubal pregnancy and miscarriage must be ruled out by your doctor.

It can: Though the issue is that it can cause you to miscarry.  Do not take any more of it, but if you have not miscarried by now, you may be ok, but if you do start bleeding or cramping, be seen immediately.

No: These kind of cramps are usually just growing pains.  It is more worrisome if there is bleeding but even that can be normal.  Keep in mind that your risk of miscarriage is about 15% and you usually, but not always, will have some of these symptoms when that happens.

Need exam. : Painless small volume bright red rectal bleeding is usually hemorrhoid in cause. Painful (rectally only) small volume bright rectal bleeding is often due an anal fissure. Abdominal pain &amp;/or cramps with urgency &amp;/or straining with larger volumes of rectal bleeding or bloody stools suggests proctitis &amp;/or colitis. Weight loss, fever, age &gt; 40, family history of colitis or colon cancer are worrisome

Seek medical care: 20% of women have bleeding in the first trimester. It may be normal, but you should seek medical care and have an ultrasound to confirm everything is O.K. At seven weeks, an ultrasound should be able to identify the baby and a heartbeat.

Pregnant: HCG has elevated.  In first trimester this should double every 3 days.  A heartbeat can be detected by Doppler, but can be up to 10 weeks before this is realizable.  If you had a vaginal ultrasound though the heartbeat should have been detected.
