: The best way to get increase flow of milk is to increase your water intake. I know I have not answered your question about lactofer tablet however I would suggest to reduce medications that could be excreted through the milk and a lot of medications are. Improve your nutrition and fluid intake and put your baby to suck frequently to increase output.

i'm breastfeeding my 4 week old baby. my nipples are paining and breastfeeding is really uncomfortable for me. nipple cream doesn't help. what to do?

Options: If you have a "Barracuda" feeder it often helps to begin feeds before the kid is fully awake, placing them to the breast while asleep on a schedule you define. This often allows them to become partly satisfied before they begin to fuss. It may do the trick. Also see if there are breastfeeding coaches in your region that can assist.

No delay: There is no reason to delay breastfeeding after taking Plan B since it has no effect on breastmilk. Consider starting birth control to prevent a pregnancy since you delivered 4 weeks ago.

Breast feeding: A breast fed baby may have a stool with each feeding, once a day or can go as long as a week without having one. All very normal as your baby is acting. He may also fo a lot of gruting when passing stool. Again, all normal.

I wouldn't/either : If you breast feed, you risk the kid refusing the breast if you do a piercing. If that is not a problem do what you wish. The EPA cautions the use of canned tuna in kids because of known mercury content. Their safety limit is 3 oz/month under age six. I wouldn't use it at all.

Formula &amp;breast fed: The amount of formula  your baby is getting is not too much, I can't judge  how much he gets from breast feeding,  if the baby is gaining weight within the expected range, being  content  &amp; happy  then you're on the right track.  Your pediatrician will discuss the baby's  growth during every well visit. You can discuss   your  concerns  with him. Good luck,  enjoy your  bundle of joy.

Constipated: The important thing to remember is that breast fed babies can go as long as a week without having a stool . This is considered normal for breast fed babies  and not constipation.
