No: That would more commonly be the sign of some type of trauma or an increased pressure in the eye. This can be from something as benign as vomiting or coughing or could be related to something more serious. It should be evaluated by a medical provider.

Maybe: At 3 kids in the us qualify for the "child find" program that seeks to identify kids with developmental problems that would interfere with educational success.Parents can self refer to the special services departments of their local school system to arrange an evaluation.

No. Research has : shown no difference in the incidence of ASD in fully/delayed/unimmunized younger siblings. All younger sibs need frequent developmental assessments till age 3,  as 32% of brothers  &amp; 19% of sisters are diagnosed with ASD, if no genetic cause is found on DNA Probe for Fragile X or Chromosomal Microarray in the older sib to increase risk. Up to 40% of younger sibs have language delays. See below.

Common autism trait: One of the hallmarks of autism is the impaired ability to recognize or interact to social cues in the usual way.  No one really knows why this happens, but is quite common in autistic children.  If possible, a hearing screen can be performed to make sure hearling loss is not a contributing factor.

Hello. : Hello. I can not tell you why your daughter does this. However, if she is autistic, there is often  an increase of repetitive movements (which can include the tongue). Tongue thrusting can also occur in autism.

Weaning : Weaning any child from a bottle can be tricky.  Add autism into the mix and it's just become 10 times harder.  The problem is that she is going to have to take a cup eventually, so usually the sooner, the better.  Try to remember that it is your job to offer nutritious food and it's her job to eat it.  A child will not starve themselves if food is available.  The most important thing is to make sure she is staying hydrated.  Is she still urinating at least 3-4 times a day?  If so, you are in good shape and keep offering the cup.  If not, then you need to contact her doctor for another plan of action because it could be dangerous for her to become severely dehydrated. Possible: It is possible for symptoms of an autistic spectrum disorder to not be noticed until after 3 years of age. Officially, symptoms must be present by 3 years of age to make the diagnosis. However, in reality, in everyday practice, children are often not brought to the attention of a professional for evaluation until after 3 years of age.

It's possible that a: Child with autistic spectrum disorder who acquires a large vocabulary but doesn't use it for age-appropriate reciprocal social i communication & has overdeveloped  pattern recognition &  rote memory is perceived as being precocious in developing preschool skills, while his non-compliance for non-preferred tasks, perseveration in preferred tasks & stereotypies are perceived as personality traits.

i was diagnosed with autism at 3 years old if i go to the doctor now at 19 would they still have it on my record?

Maybe,maybe not: This somewhat depends on the extent of the record. Sometimes such labels are used in early childhood and are found not to fit well when the kid is older.If so, the early label becomes part of the history. Someone found to be developmentally delayed at 3 may catch up by their teens and the label would obviously not apply. Such is the problem with observational diagnoses.
