Probably not: In my practice, with my patients, I have found that the average dose of Klonopin, or clonazepam, is 1 or 2 mgs per dose, taken twice daily, for a total of 2 to 4 mgs total daily.
You need to discuss with your treating physician what your specific diagnosis is, what other medications you are taking, and any other illnesses you may have to find your correct, optimal dose.

Klonopin (clonazepam): That depends on individual tolerance & what other medications are taken with klonopin (clonazepam). I would not advise more than 2 mg. Per dose, once at bedtime, if prescribed.

Unlikely: Have your doctor work you up for other causes of memory loss including neuropsychological testing to quantify likely extent and to help determine cause.

was on klonopin for years switched to ativan (lorazepam) 6mg for 15 days now switched back to my clonazepam 2mg on my 4th day bavk on klonopin noticed mypulse been a little low high 60 to low 70's is this normal?

Well ...: In theory, Wellbutrin (bupropion) could cause hyperprolactinemia but in all honesty, I've never seen it occur in clinical practice.  Also, Klonopin (a medication that works on the GABA system) can actually inhibit prolactin release.  So, short answer is ... It's possible but very unlikely. Hope that helps!

i have been suffering from obsessive thoughts recently mixed with high anxiety, ive been taking klonopin 0.5mg/day and has been working perfectly. now the doctor wants to put me on paroxetine although no depression in my case...your opinion?

: It sounds like your doctor is looking for a longer term solution to help with your anxiety.  Klonopin is a benzodiazepine and ideally is not used long term as it has both tolerance and addiction potential.  Paroxetine is an SSRI medication which may be used both in depression and generalized anxiety.  It would be best to circle back to your physician to understand their perspective.

: It is better to invest in stress management training with a life coach/therapist than to rely on the transient effect of drugs. The former can help for a lifetime, the latter until you run out. If I listen to a patient often enough, I will likely eventually hear a benign murmur. If it didn't require treatment, it is not worth worrying about.

my veins in my hands have recently starting bulging often since tapering klonopin. i have high blood pressure spikes but even when my blood pressure is normal the veins still bulge. what could be the cause?

: Bulging veins are a usual variation on the normal and not a cause for concern.

At one time, yes: The average starting dose of Klonopin (clonazepam) is 0.5 mg two or three times a day, and in some people who are sensitive to the effects, as little as 0.25 mg as needed. However, a dose of 1 mg three times daily is quite common.  It is generally not recommended to exceed 6 mg per day, so 3 mg a day is a moderate dose. If it is stopped, it must be gradually tapered or serious withdrawal may occur-seizures.

i'm 40. husband and i want to have a 4th child. too old? also, i take 1 mg of klonopin (clonazepam) day for anxiety. my high risk ob said its fine. do you agree?

Please clarify: Not sure if you mean your OB said it's ok to continue Klonopin (clonazepam) while trying to become pregnant and during the pregnancy or just while trying to conceive. I would defer to guidance of your OB as long as you trust and respect your doctor. That said, if you can manage on a lower dose through pregnancy with some relaxation strategies, that is worth trying. Best wishes for a healthy fourth child!
