i've seen my bypass surgin on this issue for years. i was 330lbs had gastric bypass 2010 i weigh now 122lbs no one can tell me what my pain is . help!

Bypass pain: If your bariatric surgeon cannot help you, see a gastroenterologist for a second opinion.  An internal hernia may show up on a ct scan.  Sometimes there is a stricture or marginal ulcer.

Post Bypass Surgery: After a few years and with returning to eating large amounts of food the body learns how to absorb calories more efficiently, the stomach is stretched and these bad habits lead you right back to obesity.  The goal of bypass surgery is to get you time to learn to eat small amounts of food at a time; to eat slowly and to limit your calories.

Appendicitis : Appendicitis usually causes right lower quadrant tenderness. However in some cases the patient may experience left lower quadrant pain as a referred type of pain.
Regardless abdominal pain needs to be evaluated by a physician. There are simple tests in order to determine the cause of the abdominal pain, a doctor will determine what specific tests are needed. 
The most common conditions/problems involving left side of the abdomen are:
divertivulitits
irritable bowel syndrome (ibs)
kidney infections/stones
bowel adhesions/blockages
all of these can be treated, so prompt evaluation is necessary.

Bypass surgery: To have successful variant roc surgery one must include significant life changes to include exercise, limiting calories--especially sugars and other carbohydrates. One must have a psychic change where food plays less of an emotional role. And, you must eat slowly and may i repeat, limit your calories!

Preferences change: The taste of food is not different. However, food preferences do sometimes change. Some people don't crave fatty foods the same. Hunger is decreased consistently.

Satiation change: The efficacy of gastric bypass has been shown to decrease with time.  There may be a correlation to the ghrelin / hunger related hormone level in the brain and the benefits of bypass surgery.

Diet/exercise: I think 13 years old is too young to undergo gastric bypass surgery. A better option is diet modification and exercise. Too young to be able to deal with the dietary changes after bypass surgery.
