Depends on Weight: This depends on the starting weight of the patient. At 24, you skin is definitely more elastic than a 60 y.o., and some of it will retract back to "normal". But ultimately it depends on the size of the person before the bypass, and the weight lost after. The more the skin is stretched before the surgery, and the more weight loss, the more skin will sag.
