Post Bypass Surgery: After a few years and with returning to eating large amounts of food the body learns how to absorb calories more efficiently, the stomach is stretched and these bad habits lead you right back to obesity. The goal of bypass surgery is to get you time to learn to eat small amounts of food at a time; to eat slowly and to limit your calories.

Have you tried: Doing a calorie count of all food intake, and wearing a pedometer to assess your energy expenditure each day?

Regain weight bypass: There are many reasons why you may have regained weight. It can be your habits like eating too much, poor food choices, not enough exercise, etc., or it can be an anatomical problem with a stretched pouch, a dilated anastomosis, a gastro-gastric fistula, or some combination of all of these. You need to see a bariatric surgeon that specializes in revisions and get an UGI and egd.
