Preferences change: The taste of food is not different. However, food preferences do sometimes change. Some people don't crave fatty foods the same. Hunger is decreased consistently.

Some say yes: I have patients tell me frequently that things that uses to taste good before surgery no longer do. Some say things actually taste different. I agree it is probably more a different preference.
