Total cholesterol=concentration of all cholesterol/volume blood plasma & carried within the lipoprotein particles; complex protein particles which carry all fat molecules in the water outside cells. The lipoprotein particles have long been classified by ↓ing size/↑ing density: ULDL, VLDL, IDL, LDL, HDL. These protein particles carry triglyceride, phospholipid, cholesterol & all other fats present.
