Bunion removal
Bunion removal, bunionectomy, or correction of bunion deformity all refer to the same group of surgical procedures. Depending on how severe the deformity is a determination is made as to which procedure would work best. A bunion deformity is a deviation of the 1st metatarsal towards the opposite foot and of the great toe towards the outside of the foot. Correction can involve bone and soft tis.
