Bunion treatments : Conservatively you can pad around the bunion, purchase wider shoes, and orthotics may also help prevent the progression of the bunion if it is not very large. Surgically the bunion can be corrected by cutting the bone and moving the bone. This surgery should discuss with a podiatrist as there are multiple surgical options to correct bunions and he/she could advise what's best for you.

Orthotics: Bunion is a structural problem in the foot due to abnormal mechanics. So the only way to correct a bunion is surgery but there are ways to prevent the bunion from progressing and worsening. Orthotics help control the abnormal mechanics conrtibuting to the bunion. So orthotics can prevent the bunion from worsening and control the grotwth but can not correct the deformity. Visit eastpennfoot.Com.

If it is not painful: Simply leave it alone. If it hurts then there is conservative treatmenine which consists of smart shoe selection. Or, have it fixed surgically. There are different types of ways to fix it surgically and that would depend on the presentation. If you so desire to fix it, a podiatrist or orthopod can happily review surgical options with you.

Many possibilities: Treatment options for the management of bunions include conservative and surgical management. Conservative management options include use of orthotic devices, change in shoe wear, medications such as oral no-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaids), steroid injections, padding of corns and calluses, and splinting and strapping.
