Describe the features of a bunion.?

Let me see below: A bunion is an irregular bony prominence (a bump) on the joint where your big toe meets the main bones of your foot. The bunion causes the end of the big toe to bend toward the other toes and crowd them, while the bone at the base of the toe where it meets the foot moves outward beyond the normal limits of where the bone should be.

Bump at the big toe: A bunion refers to the bump on the inside of the big toe joint. This usually results from hallux valgus, a deformity of the big toe joint where the midfoot bone (metatarsal) points in towards the middle of the body and the toe points out toward the 5th toe. That position of the bones creates a prominence on the inside of the foot that is the bunion.

Bump : A bunion is a progressive disorder that is often described as a bump on the side of the big toe joint which may become painful. The visible bump actually reflects changes in the framework of that joint and possibly adjacent joints. In later stages, the big toe may lean towards the second toe which throws the bones out of alignment – producing the bunion’s “bump” which may lead to pain.
