Mucormycosis or (Zygomycosis) can be a very serious disease caused by inhaled fungal spores. It can infect your nose, sinuses, eyes, , brain, digestive tract and lungs. A severe form is called rhinocerebral mucormycosis which can be fatal. It usually occurs in people who are immunocomrpomised. Agressive and early treatment is required.
