DMD
The 2 degrees offered in U.S. Dental schools is dmd ( doctor of dental medicine)or dds (doctor of dental surgery). Upon graduation from dental school one of these degrees will be presented to the doctor. There is no established difference between the two degrees. Once the dds or dmd passes their licensing boards they will be qualified to practice general dentistry.
