Yes, but......: The bowel prep used prior to colonoscopy can cause hemorroidal flare up, but pain for 6 weeks may indicate that you have an anal tear (fissure). Also if the piles have not gone down for 3 months, you may have thrombosed ext. Hemorrhoids. You should be evaluated by a surgeon.
