Not Uncommon: Two months after hernia repair your body is still healing--the pain you are describing is understandable. However, this pain should lessen in time--if it is getting worse, it would be wise to return to see your surgeon. Occasionally, nerves are irritated by this operation that can be blocked if chronic pain develops.

Maybe or maybe not: 70 days after inguinsl hernia most patients are back to baseline. You are experiencing pain below the hernia but above the testical. Talk to you doctor and asked to be seen for this. Sometimes the nerve can be trapped but your surgeon will examine you. With mild pain it may require physical therapy.

Could be, but...: Some lingering ache/pain as described is at times expected in few, and usually nothing needs to be done but just watch and see as long as slowly but surely getting better week by week. Very occasionally, the post-herniorrhapy may be unbearable and requires nerve block with or without neurectomy, that is, severing off a selected nerve fiber. More?
