Little unusual: But not too much. Show it to your surgeon who did the operation. He should be able to tell you what to do.

Common: Still early and would still be healing only 3 weeks after hernia surgery. Will often have temporary skin numbness and hypersensitivity below the scar. Nerve discomfort can affect the testicle. As the healing continues the discomfort resolves. Follow up with your surgeon.

The testicle itself does not swell in an inguinal hernia. But if the hernia reaches the area it might appear to be swollen.
