Normal: It is normal to have some discomfort after any type of hernia repair. The length of time is variable, and there is nothing to worry about if it is minor. If it is significantly limiting your activities, see your surgeon for an exam. Rarely, there can be long term severe pain requiring mesh removal. Hope this helps!
