Why does my poop float? could it be related to breastfeeding?

Stop worrying: Textbooks may leave you thinking that "floating stool" means malabsorption and steatorrhea but you'd know by the horrible smell. Usually it's extra gas in the stool, even from somethng as simple as chewing gum.
