Hemorrhoids?: Diarrhea can give you anal discomfort either on the basis of hemorrhoid irritation or excoriation from peri-anal dermatitis. I suggest you switch to a flushable moist wipe instead of dry toilet paper for a while till the symptoms abate. Good luck!
