Delicate area: The area of the penis and scrotum are very delicate areas. The surgery you had causes a lot of trauma down there with a lot of inflammation ( red, hot, swelling, tenderness). Your activity level after surgery to present may be contributing to your condition if excessive. If it is not starting to resolve, see the surgeon to be sure that you are not having an unusual problem.

Very likely.: If these problems are new and began after the surgery, then it is logical to believe that it is related. Most likely it is a result of problems with the mesh that was implanted and it's affects on the nerve and/or surrounding tissue. After inguinal hernia, surgeons tend to wait a while (3-6 months) to allow for problems to resolve on their own. Continue to follow with your surgeon and see.
