You have a persisting uterine infection triggered by the embedded IUD, not due primarily to group B strep or BV. Although uncommon, this picture is typical for potentially difficult to treat and serious infections like actinomyces or other fungal infections. Ask your doctor about consultation with an infectious diseases specialist, or an ObG who sub specializes in infectious diseases. Good luck.
