If indeed BV...: That's the $64, 000 question, if you are not responding to treatment. Sometimes, antibiotic treatments may actually make the condition more frequent, recurrent or complicated by fungal vaginosis. Was a culture obtained? Please further discuss with your pcp and/or gyn.

It is time to Cultur: Back pain her is sequence of the pelvic infection most likely, i would recommend culture and sensevity to be done on the discharge and x-ray of the lumber spine and ultrasound to be sure you do not have problem in the spine beside the pelvic problem.

Keep having a reoccurring issue with BV basically all year. I take antibiotic after antibiotic, and still see discharge. After getting metronidazole for so long, I asked to try clindamycin and still no result.
bv swab. Flagyl met.gel & clindamycin used Symptoms went & came back each time. Mainly vag burning . Now told to use anucort hc vaginally. Thoughts?
Doc prescribed metronidazole 250 mg 2x a day for 7 days for BV but it was a low dose and now 500 2x or clindamycin dont work..can I increase dose?
