Some people get heart palpitations when lying down because of the position in which they sleep. Sleeping hunched over on your side can increase pressure inside your body, causing palpitations. Many other common causes of heart palpitations include: Anxiety, stress and depression and in your case sexual activity. Go and see your doctor!

I think most people with that complaint are merely feeling prominent heart beats with lying on one side or the other. Such forceful beats are not due to disturbance in heart rhythm and, thus, palpitations is missused when describing their symptoms.unless the heart rate is abnormal in rate or rhythm. I have proven this& reassured patients with use of outpatient monitoring.
