Wow. lots of palpitations over the last year but i just found out how to make it happen on command. laying on left side even propped up, if i reach my right arm over my chest and almost squeeze my pecs together, boom, heart pumps hard flutters. why?

Palpitations: Your heart lies on the left side of your chest. When you lay on your left side you put more pressure on your heart. This is why it is recommended you sleep on your right side. The increased pressure stresses your heart and this provokes your problem. A valvular issue would be likely. I would talk to your provider. Probably good idea to get evaluated. An echocardiogram might help.
