: HSV is easily transmitted b/t partners, and it is certainly possible that the virus has already been acquired by both. If symptoms of outbreaks occur, an antiviral such as Valtrex may shorten the interval of sustained HSV ulcers/pain. See your primary care physician for a prescription.
