A positive swab test for HSV2 (likely either PCR or culture) is almost always accurate, so you definitely have genital herpes. Whether it is the result of a past exposure or the recent one can't be known from this information. Symptoms previously and now, as well as more detail about your past IgG antibody tests (timing and the numerical value of the test results) are necessary. Good luck.
