I tried anal fingering and some discharge/slimy liquid came out. yellowish and orange in color with a string of red coming out (figured it might be blood) is this a health concern? should i go to the doctor?

Micro trauma from the fingernails is likely and allowing for time for the rectal mucosa to heal should help. In case your discharge persists seeing your doc should help.

If you feel that the blood may have been due to irritation from the fingering, then keep a good eye on it. If it persists, you should see your primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist for evaluation. Good luck.
