Hi doctor, my girlfriend started taking birth control pills from the 1st day of her periods. she took the pills on time every day. we had sex without any condoms 3rd day of her periods,but she was on her pills. is there any chance of pregnancy?

When a woman has been on the pill for several cycles and taking them on time, there is little chance of pregnancy. During the 1st month of use some advice a backup BC until the body is accustomed to the pill. Any form of BC has a failure rate, but the pill is one of the most reliable if used correctly.

It sounds like you were on birth control at the time of intercourse, and it was protected. It is highly unlikely that you are pregnant.
