What can cause low risk hpv viruses that are sexually transmitted in the body of some people to become dormant without clearing?

The immune system clears most HPV infections to a point that they cannot be detected with DNA testing. However, some or most (maybe all) infections persist at an undetectable level (i.e. become dormant). There are no known causes other than the immune system response. But usually persistent/dormant infections don't matter: some may reappear in detectable form, but most do not.

It depends on one's immune system and cant be predicted.
