A sexual transmitted disease, if you truly had by your description, should not physically cause ED in a young man. However, severe anxiety by the thought of acquiring a sexual transmitted disease can cause ED. If that is the case, ruling out the disease will cure your ED problem.

That discharge could have been secretions or 'pre cum' or an infection but if you have been OK and have had no other symptom or history of exposure to a VD, you will be OK. This does not cause problems with erections. Worrying about it can.
