If Lupron is given to suspend ovarian function, the resulting diminished estrogen will immediately have an effect on the growth of "fibroids", and effective reduction of size will then depend on the size of the fibroids when Lupron therapy was started. There are other methods to "shrink" fibroid tumors, such as embolization therapy. Consult your GYN physician for guidance.
