A member asked:

I heard covid-19 can cause erectile dysfunction and it can be permanent. is this true? i have never had covid-19 but am concerned about it causing ed if i were to catch it?

No - not true. At worst, many people (20-40%) get “long-hauler” syndrome - a sense of fatigue, ill-health and/or depression. Sexual desire (not formal ED) may develop during this period.

covid is a very recent thing so there are no long term studies about that. E.D usually takes time to happen . So far no reports of that happening. Personally I doubt that it will be a direct cause of impotence
