A member asked:

I have numbness in tailbone area, very dry labia looks, like reptile skin, itching, discoloration of labia almost bruised looking. doesnt hurt to urinate or shower, do have pain after skin is touched. was treated with diflucan for yeast monday?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yeast vaginitis: I can't associate sacral-coccyxgeal numbness with the yeast vaginitis, but itching is common. The labial changes appear chronic & more than what yeast vulval infections cause. In my experience, onetime oral diflucan is more effective in younger women so you might also apply antiyeast cream to the vulva. Consult a dermatologist as needed for further evaluation of the skin problems.
