A 20-year-old male asked:
Is it possible to get high risk strains of hpv from humping a towel or bedsheet? what if they were used by someone with hpv (lied down naked on the bedsheet or wiped their genitals with a towel)?

No: Skin to skin contact is necessary for HPV transmission to occur. CDC.gov is a reliable site for further information. You should have been offered the vaccine by now.

No risk, no worry: Genital strains of HPV are only trasnmitted by sex with an infected person, not by contact with shared towels, bedding, clothing etc. For example, household contacts of infected persons do not catch it even after years of sharing toilets, bathrooms, and often beds -- unless they also are sex partners.
