Herpes: Do you know where you are contagious? Do you know if it is type 1 or type 2? If you do not then it is most likely somewhere between your belly button and thigh. This means that condoms may not prevent transmission of the virus. If your partner is negative for type 2 then you may consider going on valacyclovir to lessen your contagiousness.
