A 38-year-old male asked:

Have experienced inside of nose being bloody, not a bloody nose. it feels like lining of nose is inflamed, swollen and hurts sometimes. have allergies and sinus problems. concerned if blood is an open wound and more prone to infections? treatment?

Inflamed nose: The inside of the nose has a good supply of blood vessels and if you are having allergies then the tissue can become inflamed and it may have blood. Nasal steroids are helpful and if taking allergy medication the tissue may be dry. consider using vaseline on the inside of your nose in small amounts. Also if you use benadryl that can be drying.
