A member asked:

I was diagnosed recently w/ low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (lsil). last years pap was normal. ive had one sexual partner in 7 years. does this mean i got hpv from him? or he cheated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not so fast: The changes of HPV associated with these lesions can come up years or decades after 1st infection. Studies of college age women before the vaccine was licensed showed s many as 70% with blood evidence of prior disease.
