A member asked:

What is the likelihood of getting gonorrhea from receiving oral sex in the throat? im gay

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Big enough to worry: Gonorrhea is an equal opportunity infection. The bacteria does not know whether the host is gay, not gay, or not sure. The bacteria doesn't pop out of nowhere, but comes from an infected person. Thus, if one's partner has no gonorrhea, the couple can have oral sex all week long and nobody gets gonorrhea. If one of them has the infection, we cannot predict how long before both are infected.
