Have to be lucky: A lucky baby won't get eye herpes, but will just get it in the mouth or around the mouth. Babies touch their eyes often, but we rarely see babies get eye herpes. Life is just that way. That said, a baby in this situation might just take a nice long bath to get clean and then go enjoy the rest of his day. If he's a typical kid and lucky, he'll get no herpes this time or get the usual oral herpes.
