My 6 month old son has diarrhea / very runny yellow poop and lots of it. its day 4 now and he passed a few solid bits but still runny. soft spot isn't sunken and he is drinking is formula as per normal and eating rice cereal. must i worry?

Parameters: The average infant will have 2-3 diarrhea illnesses/yr to age when it drops to 1-2/yr.They are usually & self recover over time. As long as the kid wets every 6-8 hrs he is not dry. Applesauce, rice cereal & fresh bananas usually help firm them over a few days. If he doesn't wet in 8+ hrs he is starting to dry out & needs to be seen.
