2 small orangey light red spots in stool (not fresh). had some ketchup and tomatoes yesterday. stomach gassy today. strained a little bit just this time to let the poop out. have a very small exterior hemorrhoids. any thoughts about it?

?blood on stool: I wouldn't blame ketchup but can't be sure about tomatoes. Hemorrhoids cause bright red blood. This doesn't sound serious, however your physician can do a simple test on your stool to check for blood if you still have concerns.

Any abnormal bleeding needs to be evaluated. Even if it is bleeding from hemorrhoids, it can result in anemia. It would be prudent to see your doctor.... Read More
