More likely benign: The foreskin can trap a simple skin secretion called smegma. This is a normal material similar to the earwax that can accumulate there. It is less a problem if/when a male retracts the foreskin completely to wash it off on a regular basis. It is fine that you have this checked out, but I wouldn't stress so much before you do.
