Not uncommon: Estrogen and progesterone levels change during the menstrual cycle, and this can cause changes in the breast tissue. A person may feel that their breasts are tender or sore, as a result. Many birth control pills contain the same hormones, estrogen and progestin, which is a synthetic form of progesterone.Caffeine can also increase breast soreness as well as infection, etc

Breast/nipple pain: Niple and breast pain have a long list of possible causes. They can be related to hormonal changes, medications, weight changes, cysts, infections, poorly fitting bras, changes in exercise patterns and many others. Schedule a visit for an examination to determine the cause and to determine if treatment is needed.
