No: Both germs will never be found on a culture. They have special growth requirements & are not tested that way. They can take pee and look for the DNA of either germ in that specimen, but it must be ordered specifically for that purpose.

I got PID but tested negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea. Does that mean for sure it wasn't caused by that? Or can STDs not show up if they evolved into PID?
I always did gonorrhea and chlamydia testing, and they always are negative. But I never get tested for herpes. I recently did a std panel for stds including herpes. Results show HSV-IgG 1& 2; 56 H and 5.53 H. Does that mean I had it in the past? HELP?
