Urethral "lump": The "lump" describes is probably a urethral diverticulum, (a kind of hernia in the wall of the urethra), and is harmless. To be certain, get a referral to a urologist from your healthcare provider.

Diverticulum: It sounds like you are describing a urethral diverticulum. Without seeing the area we can not be certain. This is the most likely diagnosis based on the description. If it is bothersome it can be surgically corrected.
