A member asked:

Right inside of my vagina hole burns and is really sore right inside and also under both of my flaps are really red and they burn to, i have no std's, 1 doctor says its vulvodynia and 1 says its vulvitis so im confused which one is right :( please tell me

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vulvitis: When the area of the vulva is red adn painful, it's vulvitis. Vulvodynia is when it hurts to touch it, but there isn't anything infectious provoking it. Obviously, there's soemthing going on, yeast comes first to mind, with your vulva if it's that red and irritated. Bottom line, you likely need treatment. Even if no perceptible infection, you could benefit from a medication to help with pain.
