Vulvitis: When the area of the vulva is red adn painful, it's vulvitis. Vulvodynia is when it hurts to touch it, but there isn't anything infectious provoking it. Obviously, there's soemthing going on, yeast comes first to mind, with your vulva if it's that red and irritated. Bottom line, you likely need treatment. Even if no perceptible infection, you could benefit from a medication to help with pain.
