Late and irregular: periods are very common in young women such as yourself. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) often results from hormonal imbalances during the menstrual cycle. Hormones are influenced by stress, illness, fatigue, etc. Oral contraceptives often help regulate menses and may be a good option, especially if you need contraception. Best to discuss these issues with your Doctor/Provider. Stay well:)
